How Salvatore Homes S.r.l. handles your personal data when you visit this website, book a stay, shop in the boutique or stay with us, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Visiting the website
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect them against attacks, technical data such as your IP address, browser and time of access are processed and kept only for a short time. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies
We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and we do not load any third-party tracking tools. The website only saves a few settings in your browser, such as your language and your boutique basket. They are needed for the functions you use, so no consent banner is required. When you pay, you go to the secure payment page of Stripe, which sets its own cookies to prevent fraud.
Booking a stay
When you book, we need your name, email, phone number, country, the number of guests, your arrival time and any message to us. We use these data to handle your booking, to contact you about your stay and to send you the booking emails. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card details. Stripe receives the data needed for the payment and to prevent fraud.
Booking management and emails
We manage bookings and our calendar with Lodgify and send booking emails through Resend. Bookings made on Airbnb, Booking.com and other platforms also reach us through Lodgify.
Online check-in, police registration and tourist tax
Italian law (Art. 109 TULPS) requires us to register every guest with the police through the Alloggiati Web portal of the Polizia di Stato and to report arrivals to the official tourism statistics. For this we collect the identity document details of every guest. We also collect the tourist tax for the town. The online check-in, the identity documents, the security deposit on your card and the tourist tax are handled by our check-in provider Chekin. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Without these data we cannot host you.
Newsletter
We only send you our newsletter if you tick the box when booking or shopping, at most once a month. You first confirm your email address (double opt-in). You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every newsletter. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
Boutique orders
For orders in our boutique we process your name, address, email and the order details. Orders are shipped by Amazon, which receives your delivery address. Payment is made through Stripe.
Salvatore Circle
If you join Salvatore Circle, we process your name, email and your stays with us to manage your membership and its benefits. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Contact by phone, email or WhatsApp
If you contact us, we use your details to answer you. WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd.; please only use it if you accept its terms.
Service providers and transfers outside the EU
We work with service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and security), Stripe (payments), Lodgify (bookings), Chekin (online check-in, deposit and tourist tax), Resend (emails), Supabase (database), Mailchimp (newsletter) and Amazon (boutique shipping). Some of them are based in the USA. Transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep your data
Booking and invoice data are kept for 10 years, as required by Italian tax and civil law. Identity document details are passed on to the police as required by law and are not kept longer than necessary. Newsletter data are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to info@salvatorehomes.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority in your country.
